Hedges

Through the incredibly dry year the hedges managed to grow an amazing amount of fruit. Our hedgerow management ensures they remain uncut until all the wildlife has finished foraging and sheltering.

Camping

The annual farm camping weekend was timed perfectly before the rain started again πŸ˜…

Love pretty much moving the house in to the tent for this, kids really enjoy it so that makes it worth while.

🌻🌻🌻

It’s been a challenging year for the margins, dry before, during and after establishment but one plant has thrived, the sunflowers. It’s not only a huge reward for the pollinators but for us and everyone that passes, best part is the birds get to enjoy them as a food source when winter bites. They will be vital when the hedges look very light on winter food this year.

Spirit Red

Finally we get our first red and white Spirit heifer calf! She’s by Ranger and here is a link to her pedigree, Hopefully the genomic 🧬 figures come back well 🀞 πŸ„
